Meet your technician

Someone you can
talk it through with.

You’ll work directly with Paul Miscavage, the owner of Foxworx and the technician doing your repair or build. Explain the problem in your own words, ask questions, and get help deciding what makes sense for your computer.

I’ll explain what I find, help you weigh repair against replacement, and make sure you understand the next step. If a repair isn’t worth the cost, I’ll say so.

Let’s talk about your computer
Your files are personal. They stay that way.

I access personal files only when the job requires it, explain why a password is needed, and don’t retain recovered files after the job is complete.

Good to know

A few things you
might be wondering.

What areas does Foxworx Computers serve?

Foxworx Computers is based in Scranton, PA and serves Northeastern Pennsylvania, including Dunmore, Clarks Summit, Wilkes-Barre, Lackawanna County, and Luzerne County. Paul travels to customers and offers remote support for suitable software issues. Drop-off can be arranged when needed; there is no walk-in storefront.

Do you build custom gaming PCs and workstations?

Yes. Paul helps choose components around your games, creative work, and budget, then handles assembly, setup, and testing. Custom builds are priced by quote. Share what you want to use the PC for and your budget to start planning.

Where do I drop off my computer?

Contact Paul to arrange drop-off when needed. There is no walk-in storefront; location and timing are agreed directly. On-site visits and remote support are also available.

How much is a diagnosis?

A diagnosis costs $45 and is applied toward your repair if you proceed. If you decide against the repair, you only owe the diagnosis fee.

How long will a repair take?

Many common repairs can be completed the same or next day. The problem, workload, and availability of parts affect timing; I’ll discuss the expected turnaround with you.

Do you work on Macs?

My focus is Windows PCs and laptops. For Mac file recovery or setup questions, contact me to check whether I can help. I’ll refer Mac hardware work when it needs another specialist.

Is the repair covered by a warranty?

Repair labor is covered for 30 days. If the same repaired issue returns, I’ll fix it again without a labor charge. Replacement parts retain their manufacturer warranty.

Can you recover files from a failed drive?

It depends on the failure. I can assess readable drives for deleted or inaccessible files. Mechanical failures that require a clean-room lab need a specialist; I’ll explain when that applies.

What happens to my personal files?

I access files only when the repair or recovery requires it and explain when that’s necessary. Recovered files aren’t retained after the job is complete.

How does remote support work?

We arrange the session together. You initiate access and can watch the work, and access ends when we’re done. I won’t contact you unexpectedly to request remote access.
