Computer trouble? Talk to a real person.
Slow PC, a virus, a laptop that won't turn on, or files you're scared you lost? I'll tell you what's actually wrong and what it costs — before any work begins.
Most calls are one of these
Repair and recovery is the core of what I do. If you're not sure which bucket you're in, just describe what's happening and I'll sort it out.
Slow or crashing computers
Freezes, blue screens, won't boot, takes forever to start, fans roaring. I find the real cause instead of swapping parts and hoping.
Virus & malware removal
Pop-ups, fake warnings, a machine that's been hijacked, or hidden programs quietly slowing things down. A full deep clean — not a quick surface scan.
Lost & recovered files
Deleted photos, a drive that won't open, errors when you try to copy things off. I'll recover what's recoverable — and tell you honestly if a case needs a specialist lab.
Laptop hardware repair
Won't charge, won't power on, dead battery, broken ports. I diagnose the real fault and tell you whether it's worth fixing before you spend a dime.
Upgrades & new setup
More memory, a solid-state drive to make an old machine feel new, or moving everything to a computer you just bought — set up properly with your files intact.
Wi-Fi & home networking
Dead zones, a router that keeps dropping, a printer that won't connect. Reliable internet and devices that just work across your whole home.
Handing over your computer
shouldn't feel like a gamble
Four steps, and you're in control at every one. No surprise charges, no mystery, no "we'll call you maybe."
Tell me the symptoms
Call, text, or use the form. Describe what's going on in your own words — that's plenty for me to start.
Diagnosis & clear price
I find the real problem and give you a flat price. Nothing gets fixed until you say go.
Drop off or go remote
By-appointment drop-off in Scranton, or we connect remotely for software issues — whichever suits you.
Fixed & walked through
Most jobs done same or next day. I explain what I found and what I did in plain language.
No mystery bills. Here's the deal.
Exact cost depends on the problem, but you'll always have a real number before anything happens. These are typical starting points.

How I work
-
You approve the price before any workIf the quote isn't worth it to you, you only owe the diagnosis fee — and you keep that for shopping around.
-
No parts swapped without askingI won't replace anything you didn't approve. Old parts are yours to keep on request.
-
30-day labor warrantyIf the same problem returns within 30 days, I fix it again at no labor charge.
-
Honest "don't bother" adviceIf a repair costs more than the machine is worth, I'll tell you straight and help you weigh the alternatives.
-
Your files stay privateI don't open personal files unless the repair requires it — and I'll tell you when it does.
A local tech, not a call center
I'm Paul. I've spent years building and repairing computers for people around Scranton — everything from clearing nasty infections and recovering files off failing drives to rescuing laptops everyone else had written off.
When you call Foxworx, you reach the person who'll actually do the work. No ticket queue, no rotating staff, no upsell script. Just a straight answer about what's wrong and what it'll take to fix.
Your data & privacy
I don't browse, copy, or access personal files unless the repair directly requires it — and I'll tell you when that's the case. If a password is needed, I explain why first. For recovery jobs, your files are handled only to recover them and aren't kept afterward.
